1.)Where did the Internet comes from?
The internet began life in America in late 1960s, with just four computers owned by the
Department of Defense. They were known as ARPAnet-the Advanced Research Project Agency network. To confuse the issue, the
network changed it name later in the 1960s and then back again later.
The idea was to swap information between the different sites of the Agency
so that in the event of an atomic bomb falling on one of the computers, the Department of Defense would still have access
to vital information across a small network like this meant it was secure, compared with sending computer data stored
on tape across the country in an envelope.
The benefits of this network system soon became apparent to other agencies within the
American Government. this led to the introduction of MILNET-the Military Network in early 1980s. Essentially this network
evolved from the ARPAnet system which being used by military personel as well as defense researches.
